Welcome to the February 2023 Newsletter

We may only have just started enjoying more sunlight but we’ve already been out to sites along the R. Rother, R. Ouse and R. Adur for the Preventing Plastic Pollution (PPP) project. And have more planned in February and March. This project is important as it is giving ground breaking research connecting inland and coastal/beach environmental plastic pollution surveys. Everyone who has joined an event is amazing and we could not have completed these events without you!

We are growing as more and more people are discovering that litter picking doesn’t ever stop, but adding value to all our daily litter picking and beach cleaning can begin to build up this body of data to be used as evidence to lobby for change at source. It may not be a quick process, but the data will only become more and more important.

Social Media presence

We appreciate your support through subscribing to this newsletter, please share with friends and family.

Another way to help Strandliners reach a greater audience is through our social media presence. We are notoriously not amazing at keeping up with letting everyone know what we do but if all subscribers were able to support through “liking”, “sharing” and/or reposting it would really helpful!

The sun is shining, signs of spring, pretty colours, yet both are environmental plastic pollution. Where did they come from?
