Beyond the Litter Pick

Sunday 5th March – Mallydams Wood, Fairlight
10:00 to 12:00 and/or 13:00 to 15:00

What happens after the rubbish is sorted, identified and recorded?

We are trying to turn the tide on plastic pollution in the environment. The PPP project uses maps, science and data to identify plastic pollution hotspots.

Beyond the litter pick – what happens after the rubbish is sorted, identified and recorded?

Let’s turn the tide on plastic pollution in the environment. These sessions can help create local action for change.

Come along and see how a brand audit is processed.
We will be looking at plastic polymers – which ones can be recycled.
Once our data is on a spreadsheet, we can produce simple statistics and images (visual for capturing public interest).

We will show how to upload litter picking data to support national campaigns and projects.
This is a great event for anyone who likes spreadsheets or data but cannot get to the litter picking events – your time and effort is just as valuable.

Tea/coffee & cake provided. Bring some lunch if you would like to stay all day.

Sign up for one or both sessions through Eventbrite by following the link or scanning the QR code.
